CHANNEL HIGH-PASS FILTER
A classic EQ section known from various mixers has now been replaced with a non-resonant high-pass filter. With a specially engineered slope (approx. 12dB/oct), it allows cutting the lower parts of the signal up to 2.5kHz (-3dB point) at maximum position. The HPF allows for more precise blending of tracks, as it enables exact control over the cutoff frequency, unlike traditional EQs which often have fixed frequency points and broader adjustments. It ensures a cleaner and more accurate separation of low-end frequencies, avoiding the overlapping and muddiness that can occur with fixed EQ bands. This results in a more transparent mix and flawless transitions, with a better definition and enhanced clarity.
MASTER ISOLATOR
The Exon 2 mixer features the world's first dynamic 3-band isolator. When the LOW or HIGH bands are adjusted away from their unity position, the MID band acquires a subtle resonance near the filter's cutoff frequencies. This imparts a unique character to the sound, making it more interesting and energetic. The isolator's filter curves have an 18dB/oct slope, providing a rich, full-bodied character during operation - the adjustable ranges are relatively sharp but not overly clinical, preserving the overall dynamics of the sound. Its knobs have a detent at the unity position, allowing for easy adjustment to the central position even in low-light conditions.
SEPARATE FX SENDS
In addition to the standard send on each channel, where the post-HPF, pre-fader signal is sent to the effect unit, it is now also possible to route individual, selected isolator bands to a separate send output. This allows the use of an additional effect unit, elevating both the possibilities and creativity of mixing to an entirely new level. The FX send buttons, like the CUE buttons, are subtly backlit for easier visibility in low-light conditions, significantly changing their brightness when activated to clearly indicate their status. The signal that returns from the ISO FX is routed back directly to the insert output, allowing it to be layered with the main mix signal after the isolator and providing the option to connect another effects unit via the insert connectors.

INTELLIGENT VU METERING
Despite having only a pair of VU meters, the Exon 2 features an intelligent way of signal metering, depending on the operation mode selected for optimal signal monitoring: when no CUE buttons are pressed, the VU meters display the post-insert stereo mix level (1:1 at record output). As soon as any of the CUE buttons are pressed, the right meter shows the post-insert mix level while the left meter indicates the CUE mix level. This metering method ensures precise monitoring of your audio signals, as the VU meters adapts seamlessly to different mixing scenarios. Accurate signal levels are always displayed for perfect audio control.
TRIPLE FX INTEGRATION
The Exon 2 can now have three different FX units connected at once: two parallel-type ones (ISO FX & AUX send/return) and a serial-type one (master insert). Whether you're looking to apply mastering processors or add character with outboard gear, the serial effects routing opens up a world of creative possibilities. The AUX return channel can also be used as an additional 3rd channel, to which any line-level device can be connected. This means you can patch in an additional audio source, such as a drum machine or synthesizer, expanding your mixing capabilities without sacrificing any of the main channels. From parallel effects processing to additional channel expansion, our mixer gives you the power to create truly unforgettable mixes by enabling the freedom to experiment.

SILKY SMOOTH CONTROL
The core of a perfect rotary mixer is its channel mix potentiometers. The Exon 2 mixer features - similarly as our Model X4 - the best ones available on the market. It's a super important factor to have the unique curve of such potentiometers, as we really know how difficult it might be to mix using highly linear controls (where the signal appears instantly) or very deep logarithmic curves (where the signal rises very quickly at the end of the fader's travel) - not anymore. The curve of our mix potentiometers is super balanced, allowing for a smooth start and an equally smooth end of the travel - this is achieved by using specially designed cermet potentiometers that are IP66 rated and can withstand over 1 million cycles of mechanical life. The control over the sound has never been any better.
PLUG & PLAY ANYWHERE
The Exon 2 is powered by an external desktop-type PSU with detachable mains lead, making it highly versatile. This system allows users to select the mains lead with an appropriate plug based on their current location, and easily attach the correct one within seconds. AB-CLASS HEADPHONES AMPLIFIER
Although the Exon 2 mixer’s topology is primarily based on opamps, it also includes circuits that use transistors, such as the class AB headphones amplifier. While its distortion levels are not as low as those achieved with high-quality opamps, this design choice has a significant advantage — it is practically insensitive to large loads and the low impedances of connected headphones, ensuring that the music sounds dynamic and clear regardless of the chosen volume level. Additionally, the amount of power provided offers significant headroom for use in various conditions, even where very high volume and performance are required.
